Race day!

Caballo has done it again: somehow he’s managed to pull off yet another “Ultramaraton de Caballo Blanco” at the bottom of the Copper Canyons. Barefoot Ted made it back, and if you’ve read Born to Run, you’ll know how thrilled he was to find this guy waiting to meet him: Manuel Luna, his pal and huarache mentor. We all realized Caballo’s dream was coming true the moment we saw Ted and Manuel, side by side in the street, working together on a pair of huaraches. Ted has turned that craft into the Luna Sandal company and sends a portion of the profits back to Manuel.
No word yet on race results, but I’m rooting for the newest addition to the Quimare Clan: Arnulfo’s son will be racing for the first time.
